QA Lead
Role Overview:
As a QA Lead, you'll be a hands-on leader, directly involved in testing our products and managing outsourced development teams. You'll work closely with internal and external teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. Your primary focus will be on identifying and resolving defects, optimising testing processes, and delivering exceptional user experiences.
This is a full-time remote position ideally suited to candidates located close to the UK time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Directly participate in manual and automated testing, covering functional, non-functional, and regression testing
- Develop and implement robust test plans to guide the testing process
- Oversee and manage outsourced QA teams, ensuring they adhere to quality standards and timelines
- Partner with external development teams to understand product requirements and align testing priorities
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests using industry-standard tools to increase efficiency and coverage
- Accurately identify, document, and track defects, prioritizing them based on severity and impact
- Set up, maintain, and optimise test environments to mirror production environment conditions
- Continuously evaluate and refine testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Work closely with the team to share knowledge, identify automation opportunities, and foster a culture of quality
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in the gambling industry, with a strong focus on UKGC Remote Technical Standards (RTS)
- In-depth knowledge of UK Gambling Commission regulations
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies
- Proven experience in manual and automated testing, including test case design, execution, and defect reporting
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG)
- Expertise in bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, TestRail)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying issues
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in managing and coordinating with outsourced QA teams
